chocolate boutique and dessert café offering award-winning
confections from chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt and homemade

filled with yummy hand-made treats, with three small café tables
encouraging you to sit, sip iced chocolate and enjoy a freshly
baked pain au chocolat.  The chocolate "factory" is visible through
large windows from inside the store and from the street level.

The Skyscraper Museum
Current Exhibit: SUPERTALL!

The Empire State Building is an iconic skyscraper.  It is 380
meters, or 1,250 feet, tall.  If it had a twin standing on its own head,
both skyscrapers would stand inside the world’s tallest building
with room to spare.  Now through January 2012, take a tour of over
thirty super-skyscrapers completed since 2001 or currently in
construction.  This recent generation of giants, generally 100
stories or higher, represents a new paradigm of slender mixed-
use towers that explore innovative approaches in engineering,
curtain wall and construction technologies, energy efficiency and
sustainability, and ideas of vertical communities.

The Skyscraper Museum is in lower Manhattan at 39 Battery Place.
Hours are 12-6pm, Wed-Sun. Admission is $5, or $2.50 for
students and seniors.
